About Me

Hi, I'm Munni and I've been working with people for over 30 years - first in Social Work and now as a Psychotherapist.

I'm passionate about helping people navigate life's challenges and find their way through difficult times. My extensive experience has taught me that everyone's story is unique, and there's real value in taking the time to understand what's happening in someone's life before jumping into solutions.

  • Menopause

“I started a course of therapy with Munni after finding myself struggling with life changes including ‘empty nest’ and debilitating menopausal symptoms, I was finding it difficult to navigate the feelings and ‘brain fog’ I was experiencing. Although nothing is a quick fix Munni has definitely helped in providing me with coping mechanisms in the form of daily ‘exercises’ and the teaching of new techniques to help with the anxiety and negative thoughts.”

  • Generalised Anxiety Disorder

“The insight and reflections Munni shared in my sessions with her have been life changing. As someone who experienced anxiety for many years, Munni’s ability to actively listen and be really empathetic was so helpful in helping me to change the way I thought and felt. To the extent that I eally don’t experience acute anxiety anymore – but if I do, I have a variety of CBT techniques that Munni taught me that have been so helpful. I would highly recommend Munni as a highly effective therapist.”

  • Low Self-Esteem

“Munni is hands down the best therapist I’ve ever had (and I’ve had quite a few!). She truly understands my deeper issues, and with her guidance, I now live a life that feels more aligned with who I am. I’ve learned to love myself more and feel incredibly proud of the person I’ve become—all thanks to Munni.”

  • Low Self-Esteem

“I highly recommend Munni for counselling sessions.

We had our first session around one year ago at a time when I was really struggling. I was feeling low in mood, anxious, sad, ignored and frustrated. I was also grieving the loss of my mum. Munni helped me to work on all of these feelings, setting activities that would allow me to consider and challenge my thoughts. This enabled me to see things from different perspectives and to be braver at confronting people or situations that I would normally shy away from, boosting my confidence at the same time.

Munni would let me talk without about so many things without judgement, sometimes I’d cry, sometimes I’d laugh. A year on I feel like a different person, much calmer and definitely happier. I don’t think I would  have managed this without Munni’s support, care and encouragement.”

    S.O. aged 43

  • Trauma

“Munni was the best guide to reclaiming my life again. I suffered an awful trauma experience of which I doubted to be able to recover any time soon. However, to my surprise the right help and own work really makes a difference and I’m able to say that only 2 years later I’m at peace with my past, content with my present and taking ownership of my future story. Most importantly, I have the confidence that things will work out and that I can overcome painful experiences.”

    E.R. aged 32

  • Depression

"As someone who finds it difficult to talk about myself or put myself first, Munni somehow managed to make me very comfortable. I can't explain how, but with a question or two she has me really digging deep and sharing more than I have with anyone. No judgment, a calm demeanor, and a very safe space for me to work through my thoughts, feelings and the events that have happened in my life. I find myself looking forward to the next session as I always walk away feeling like I have achieved some clarity, and with lots more to think about. This experience has really helped me embrace self care like meditation and what I used to call the fru fru stuff. I highly recommend her and her service."

  • Trauma

“As an Asian patient living with GAD, depression, and PTSD, I’ve found Munni’s support truly transformative. She creates a safe and compassionate space where I feel heard and understood, especially given the cultural nuances of my background. Her thoughtful, practical advice and deep empathy have helped me navigate some of the most challenging periods in my life. I’ve seen meaningful growth in myself, and I’m genuinely proud of the progress I’ve made. I would wholeheartedly recommend Munni to anyone seeking support — she’s an exceptional therapist. “  J.W. aged 24

  • Body Dysmorphic Disorder

“Munni has been an incredible support in my journey with CBT and managing body dysmorphia. Her compassionate, structured approach made me feel understood and helped me understand. I’ve gained tools that truly help me navigate daily challenges, and I’m so grateful for her guidance. Highly recommend her to anyone seeking thoughtful, effective CBT therapy.”
